Moyo SEO Case Study

At The Roadmap, we know that a shiny new website is nothing (and nowhere to be found) without SEO. That’s why we made sure to optimise every page of Moyo’s new website for SEO, on-page (the part people can see) and off-page (the part people can’t see). Through implementing our tailored SEO for hair salons, we were able to get Moyo soaring to the top spot for important keywords such as ‘Aveda products in Ireland’, ‘sustainable salon in Dublin’ and ‘eco-friendly salon in Dublin’, leading to an impressive increase in enquiries, bookings and product sales via their website.

The Proof

The proof is in the stats! Within the first four to seven months of implementing our SEO for hair salons, Moyo jumped from below 30th to the top three search results for keywords such as ‘hair salon in Dublin’, ‘hairdresser in Dublin’ and ‘hair salon in Ireland’. This resulted in more than a 20% increase in new customers discovering their website which of course led to a big increase in product sales and salon bookings, so much so that after ten months of working with us on their SEO they were bringing in as much business as they could manage.

What we did

  • We secured the second TOV (Trading Online Voucher) from the Local Enterprise Office, available for small businesses in Ireland, to cover 50% of Moyo’s marketing costs.
  • Unified all Moyo’s online profiles by optimising their Google Business profile with up to date information, text, customer reviews and quality images.
  • Optimised every page of Moyo’s website on the frontend and backend.
  • Followed up with ongoing SEO work, our writers creating monthly, SEO friendly blog posts and FAQs to improve and sustain Moyo’s Google rankings.

SEO Timeline

After conducting in depth research and learning what keywords Moyo needed to be found for, we got to work on their SEO strategy to get them up the Google rankings. We began by optimising the whole website with those keywords. We also wrote useful blog articles filled with strong search terms about what Moyo offers, and we developed an external link building strategy.

Google Maps Results

By optimising Moyo’s Google Business & Google Maps accounts, we were able to tie up all the loose ends and create a seamless online presence across all platforms. To achieve this, we updated all available information about their salon, wrote text using positive, SEO friendly language to entice new customers, generated more customer reviews and uploaded plenty of high quality images of Moyo’s salon and team, giving potential customers a well-rounded picture of what to expect when heading to their salon. All of this information creates trust with the customer, making them much more likely to choose Moyo over their competition and go ahead and make booking.
