Creating a fresh website design for an eco-friendly hair salon
Moyo Hair & Beauty is an eco-friendly hair salon based in Dublin that wanted to revamp its website to attract new clients. As one of our longest-standing clients, we got to work on a fresh website design for small businesses that would showcase their high-quality services and products while delivering a luxury user experience.
How it Started
Back in 2019, our marketing director, Rory, was walking around Dublin, knocking on doors, when he came across Moyo Hair & Beauty. He knocked on the door and asked to speak to the owner, Kevin. Kevin was concerned and asked if he was in trouble, but Rory reassured him that he was there to help. Kevin had just stopped working with an external social media team, and his online presence was suffering. He knew he wasn’t ranking high on Google and wasn’t getting enough new customers. All he had was word-of-mouth. So, Rory suggested starting fresh with a complete website overhaul, SEO optimisation, and social media management.
Transforming a cluttered website
Kevin wanted a website representing their business and mission of being sustainable yet luxurious. He also wanted to revamp their online presence and generate more new customers through online channels. However, his old website was outdated and not optimised for SEO. It was also not mobile-friendly, which was a major issue. After working with our team, Moyo Hair & Beauty now has a website that reflects their luxurious brand and is optimised for search engines.
Applying for TOV
To start, we assisted them in creating an application for a government grant called the Trading Online Voucher (TOV), which covers 50% of marketing expenses for small businesses in Ireland. Once their application was approved, we began the redesign process.

Redesigning from start to finish
We got to work redesigning and creating an aesthetically pleasing, easy-to-navigate website that showcased Moyo’s best work and selection of Aveda products. We optimised their new mobile site so that it would work flawlessly across all devices and built it with the best SEO practices in mind so it would be found by all the ideal customers searching for a sustainable salon like Moyo’s on Google.
